Click here if you need some inspiration

Being a writer pursuing publication can seriously make you go nuts. Or it can really break your spirits. Probably both at the same time. If you start to look like the cat in the above picture at any point, I have some things for you to read that will hopefully help you. (Nobody wants to look like that cat. I looked like that cat last week because I was trying to get my query letter right. It wasn't pretty.)

Every time it gets hard, there are certain blog posts I return to. I think it's time to share my list of happy brain candy.

How Do You Like Me Now? - Toni Andrews

Value Yourself - Theodora Goss

How to keep on writing when it all seems pointless - James Killick

The Magic Within - Michelle Muto

Don't Give Up - Beth Revis

And now if you could do something for me and share YOUR favorite inspirational post. I want to make a big list of them in my sidebar. :)

Cover reveal: GRASPING AT ETERNITY by Karen Amanda Hooper

My dear friend and critique partner Karen Amanda Hooper is releasing another one of her amazing, gorgeous stories into the world! She'll be publishing her YA paranormal romance, GRASPING AT ETERNITY, in May.

Today she's releasing the cover.

I have to admit, my opinion about this cover is not particularly objective.

Because...I'm the one who made it.

I'd feel awkward talking about the fact that I think it's very pretty (of course I do!), so all I'll say is that it was way way fun to make, and it's exciting to see something artistic of mine in print for a SECOND time. Who knew that messing around in Photoshop for years with absolutely no objective in mind would come in handy?

Someday soon, I'll write a post on how I did it. But after drawing the images for the interior of TANGLED TIDES, I was beyond flattered that she liked my art and Photoshop skills enough to ask me to do the cover for GRASPING AT ETERNITY!

Anyway, don't hang around on my blog any longer. Go over to Karen's blog and celebrate with her!
