As usual, I heart Taylor Swift

I'm part of a blogfest to blog every weekday in May. And I start off by missing the 2nd and the 3rd. I might as well legally change my name to Slacker.

Thursday is the day where I get to tell you about someone else, and while I sincerely want to tell you all about my cat Lucy (she's so cute, it would be an excuse to spam you with cat pictures) I'll refrain. This time. There are still several Thursdays left in this month.

I'm going to talk about Taylor Swift. Specifically why I like her so much.

I like her because she always looks like she's having the time of her life on stage, in her videos, in interviews, basically during anything that has to do with her music. Seeing that kind of passion is inspiring, I think, especially since we all know that life isn't ever that much fun, and pursuing creative endeavors is especially scary. I find it enjoyable to watch someone who's having that much fun, and is so positive. (Not that I wouldn't have fun being Taylor Swift!)

  1. I love her, too! My sister and 6-year-old niece have been to one of her concerts, and we went to stay with them (my sister and her kids) for several weeks back in February, so I really got exposed to her music. My toddler, age 3, now knows the words to "Mean" and part of "The Story of Us." You're right--Taylor Swift's enthusiasm is a lovely contrast to the Kristen Stewarts of the world, who come across as though parts of their job are a horrible, horrible thing that they have to force themselves to get through (no real offense to KS specifically~ she just came to mind). Great post :)

  2. If you changed your name to "Slacker" maybe Karen could pronounce it right ;-)

I love Taylor Swift too. Music snobs love to hate on her but she's so fun and her lyrics are always relatable!

  3. I love Taylor too! Her "You Belong to Me" was the theme song to my last project. And yes - she's always positive and always looks like she's happy in everything she does. That is inspiring.

  4. My ten-year-old loves Taylor so much. She got to touch her hair when mom took her to the concert. I love that she's a huge rock star, who even raps, but is still a good role model for my kid.
