Alison Miller, Katy Upperman, Jessica Love, and Tracey Neithercott are having a best of 2011 blogfest all week! Today is the first day, and it's all about the best books in each genre. (You can tell, based on the categories I answered, that I read pretty narrowly in the same genre all the time! Haha...oops. I also cheated a bit and had TWO ties. And I may have stretched some categories or shuffled my picks around so that I could get them all on the list without listing a whole bunch under the favorite fantasy category!)
Favorite Science Fiction:
Dearly, Departed
Favorite Dystopian:
Favorite Fantasy:
Girl of Fire and Thorns and
Daughter of Smoke and Bone
Favorite Historical Fiction:
Chime
Favorite Paranormal Romance:
Unearthly and
The Space Between
Favorite Genre Bender:
Burn Bright

Hee. I knew some of your choices before I clicked on your link. :) And *sniff* I had to return TGOFAT before I could read it. I need to put it on hold at the library again.
ReplyDeleteoooh, nice list. Some I didn't know before today-- thanks for the recommendations!
ReplyDeleteOh, and totally digging your squee-worthy author shots on the side panel. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one who had a few ties. ;-) Great list!
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing Wither a lot. The cuz has that book, I might just have to borrow it from her :) Chime seems quite interesting, too. I write historical, so I'm trying to find all of the best historicals while I go through these lists. Awesome choices!
ReplyDeleteYou have some awesome choices! I'm so glad to see that you included CHIME. I absolutely adore that book, and I feel it needs much more hype! :)
